TAP at SIUC/CASD offers assessment and treatment services in their lab on the campus of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Referrals are made, as appropriate, to agencies in the Illinois System of Care including Early Intervention, Public Schools, and other medical and human service providers.
The Lab to Support Full Inclusion is a model classroom designed to facilitate a child's placement in the least restrictive school environment. Skills targeted in the group may include self-management, social-communication, play skills, attention to group instruction and tolerating demands of a typical school setting.
Parent and provider training and support take place in the observation/community resource room.
TAP at SIUC/CASD Conference room. Case-based consultation and assessment conferences take place on a weekly basis.
Toilet training facilities within the Center are utilized for both intervention and provider training by Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
Case management is centrally controlled by a full-time Resource Coordinator/Case Manager trained in the needs of persons with ASD.
TAP at SIUC/The Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders is located on the campus of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, IL.
